The inaugural Global DPI Summit recently brought together stakeholders from across the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) ecosystem, fostering partnerships essential to accelerating DPI implementation worldwide. MOSIP was pleased to be a part of this event and contribute to global conversations on building secure, interoperable, and inclusive DPI.
With 700 delegates from over 101 countries, the event provided a global platform for meaningful discussions among diverse thought leaders, policymakers, technology experts, and other stakeholders.
MOSIP participated in key conversations at the summit – Ramesh Narayanan, CTO, joined a panel on DPI interoperability, where he emphasised the importance of standards for seamless integration across DPI and digital wallets. Gabi Adotevi, Head of West Africa, contributed to a discussion on the role of Digital Public Goods in advancing digital transformation. Additionally, we demonstrated Inji – a digital credentialing stack designed for secure issuance, digitalisation, storage, and verification of credentials.
Held in the New Administrative Capital of Cairo, Egypt, from 1–3 October 2024, the summit featured presentations, workshops, and panel discussions highlighting how DPI can accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The sessions also emphasised the crucial role of collaborations between the public sector, private industry, and civil society.
For MOSIP, the event was an opportunity to engage with partners and stakeholders, exchange insights, and explore the latest advancements in DPI.
